“Star & Harbour is inspired by our two great loves, adventure and community.”

When we started this gig, we asked ourselves what we truly inspired us. It always came back to two things. Our insatiable yearning to stuff our lives into a couple of backpacks and go exploring far and wide, in search of extraordinary, outlandish adventure. And our deep love for the simple, familiar joys of home, family, friends, community.

This is our design. To set sail for the stars, but find safe harbour. To wander the ends of the earth, but have a place to call home. To risk it all, but promise to be back. To love the journey, but stop to look into people’s eyes.

So spread your wings, but grow roots too.  Because here, we applaud the courage to do both.

“We are suckers for places that are hard to get to and harder to leave, cities we’ve never been to, mountains we’ve never climbed, folktales we didn’t grow up with. But we also love the moments and places we know so well, the people we call home. Walks in the park, coffee dates, a mouth full of chocolate, a belly full of laughs, marriage, thanksgiving, best friends, holding hands, kissing face, sunburn, mom and dad on the phone, kids (not ours) in pajamas, naps on the couch on rainy afternoons, sisters, freshly made bread.
