Discovery:
Visual Moodboards
Hey there! If you’re on this page, that means we’ve already done some great discovery around your brand’s values, culture and ethos. (That’s pretty exciting.) Now it’s time to figure out what you love or don’t love as far as aesthetics go. So let’s work together on your visual moodboard.
By now, you will have received an invitation to a Pinterest board that looks something like this:
Your Board has three areas/sections:
1. Main View
2. Yes
3. No
time to vote!
Each of the pins on your main view has been selected based on what I’ve gathered from you thus far. Some were chosen for overall look and feel, and others for specific features like a font, colour, a logotype, an image, an emotion. I want you to go through each of the pins and do one of the following:
Vote Yes:
This pin excites you. You like some or most of this. Move it to the “Yes” section.
See “Moving Pins” below.
Vote No:
This pin does nothing for you. Move it to the “No” section.
See “Moving Pins” below.
Note: You don’t have to be a 100% sure about your choices. We will go through the board later, and talk through your preferences and reasons.
moving pins
To move a pin between sections, hover over the pin, click on the top left pencil icon, select the section, and save. Selecting “No Section” will move a pin back to the main view.
adding ideas
To explore and add more pins to the board, you can click on the “More ideas” button, and Pinterest will generate a feed of pins similar to the ones in your board.
You can click on the “save” button directly from the preview, or you can open the pin and save from the full view. The full view of a pin will also allow you to scroll down to see “more like this”.
You can also pin your own images by clicking the + icon at the bottom of the screen and selecting “Pin”
There be rabbit trails aplenty, feel free to explore. I will set a date to go over the board with you. In the mean time, have fun!
